This compact kitchen in Terrace, BC, was long overdue for an update, and the renovation brought both function and charm back to the heart of the home. Working within the original footprint, the design introduced fresh finishes, semi-custom cabinetry, modern plumbing fixtures, and (at long last!) the home’s very first dishwasher. Lower cabinets were extended to add precious counter space, while smart, integrated storage inside the cabinetry made every inch work harder. The result balances practicality with personality: a modernized kitchen that still retains the vintage character of the cottage it belongs to. This little kitchen now punches above its weight, perfectly set up for big dinners, celebrations, and everyday life in between.
