Taiga Interior Design reimagined this closed-off Terrace, BC kitchen into a modern, open-concept space that connects to the living area. Clean mid-century lines complement the home’s vintage Scandinavian furniture, while thoughtful updates modernize the space.

Functionality was a top priority: generous storage, expansive counter space, and accessible design features make the kitchen easy to navigate and enjoy. A new island with seating adds space for meal prep and gathering, while cupboards were traded for smooth-gliding drawers, a shallow-depth pantry keeps essentials close by, and touch-latch hardware keeps things looking sleek without adding fuss.

The payoff is a kitchen that feels current, clever, and customized for the way these clients really live.
